IN MEMORY OF ADALIN JAMES FARNUM

Adalin James Farnum
October 1, 2002 - October 14, 2011
Adalin (Adie) James Farnum had a zest and curiosity for life the moment she opened her beautiful blue eyes. She had an amazing sense of fashion, humor and ability to bring out the best in people.  Her battle with cancer began at the age of five and a half in 2008. It was very clear her faith, strong spirit and spunky attitude would be with her every step of the way.  Though her life's journey was short it was always filled with love. She passed away peacefully on Friday, October 14, 2011.
Even at a young age, it was evident that Adalin was very empathic and went out of her way to make others feel better. Whether she was with her family, at school or interacting with a new acquaintance, she embraced everyone with her beautiful smile and her kind heart.
Over her journey she and our family experienced so much love, support and true kindness from family, friends, the local community and even people we didn’t know who were touched by her story. In honor of Adalin, she asked that we carry out her memory performing Random Acts of Kindness to people in need.
Spartan Sprouts Soccer Camp provides our family the perfect platform to honor our daughter Adalin, allow the MSU Soccer Family the chance to engage with youth soccer players and give back to the local pediatric cancer research / support groups from the funds raised at camp each summer.
